Add many photos at once

Attach a whole folder of photos to the right toys in one go, then choose which ones go on your website.

Who can do this: catalogue volunteers, coordinators and admins can upload photos. Only coordinators and admins can put a photo on the website.

Name your photo files

Gizzago matches each photo by its file name. Name each file after:

  • the code on the toy's label, for example HB-0042.jpg, with HB-0042-2.jpg for a second photo;
  • or the toy's barcode number;
  • or the last part of its web address in your public catalogue, for example balance-board.jpg.

Photos can be JPEG, PNG or WebP.

Steps

  1. In the sidebar, choose Toys, then Add toys.
  2. Under the cards, click Upload many photos at once.
  3. Drop your photos on the Photos box, or click it to choose them. Gizzago shows "Uploading 3 of 12" as it goes.
  4. Read the Matches list. Each photo shows the toy it matched, or No match.
  5. Press Attach 11 matched (the number changes). Photos with no match are left out: rename them and try again, or add them on the toy's page.
What you'll see

A message such as "11 photos attached. They stay private until you publish them." The toys' Photos tabs now show the new photos marked Private.

Publish a photo on the website

Photos stay private until a coordinator checks them.

  1. Open the toy's page and choose the Photos tab.
  2. Press Show on website under the photo.
  3. Check the question No faces, names or home details in it?. If that is true, press Yes, publish.

To take a photo off the website, press Make private.

Order or remove photos

  • The first photo is the Main photo, used on the catalogue card. Use Move earlier and Move later to change the order.
  • Press Remove photo to delete one.
  • To add one photo by hand, use Add photos on the same tab.
  • Photos that came from Capture are marked From Capture.

Find toys with no photo

In Toys > Catalogue, choose the No photo view. It lists every toy still waiting for a photo.
