Connected apps

Let Capture send new toys into Gizzago, and see which other apps are connected.

Who can do this: admins only.

This group has two parts:

  • Capture: Capture is the phone app that turns photos of toys into catalogue entries. You make a token here, paste it into Capture, and what Capture sends arrives in the Intake inbox as drafts for you to check.
  • Eventbrite: not available yet.

A token is a long secret code that lets one phone send to your library. Give each person or phone its own token, so you can stop one without affecting the others.

Steps​

Make a token for Capture​

  1. Choose Settings in the sidebar, then Connected apps.
  2. Under Capture, press Make a token. A panel opens.
  3. Type a Name that says who or what will use it, such as "Sam's phone".
  4. Press Make token.
  5. Press Copy token straight away, and paste it into Capture on that phone.
What you'll see

The token, starting with lhk_. For safety it is shown only once. If you close the panel before copying it, make a new token. The token is then listed with its Name, what it Starts with, when it was Last used and how many Items accepted.

Do not send tokens by email or post them in a group chat. Anyone with the token can send drafts to your Intake inbox.

Revoke a token​

Revoke a token when a phone is lost, or when a volunteer stops helping.

  1. Under Capture, find the token by its name.
  2. Press Revoke, then Revoke it.

You will see "Token revoked", and the token shows Revoked. Capture on that phone can no longer send anything. Drafts it sent before stay in the Intake inbox.

Eventbrite​

The Eventbrite part shows Not connected and "Eventbrite sync is not available yet." For now, take event bookings on your Gizzago site (see Bookings and waiting lists).

Other apps​

Gizzago does not connect to accounting software yet.
