Hand over reserved toys
Turn a member's reservation into a loan with one tap.
Who can do this: desk volunteers, coordinators and admins, with the desk open.
Steps
- Find the member: scan their card, or type part of their name and press Enter.
- Their header says how many toys are reserved for today, for example "2 reserved for today", with Add both (or Add all, or Add it for one).
- Press Add both. Each reserved toy becomes a line on the visit, marked as reserved.
- Add anything else they picked off the shelf by scanning it.
- Press Done, take payment, and Finish payment.
The reserved lines join the visit like any other toy, with their fee and due date. When you finish, the reservation is marked collected and disappears from To collect in the drawer.
The To collect drawer
The To collect tab in the drawer along the bottom of the desk lists every reservation for this session, so you can see who is still expected. It is also where you find a reservation if the member has forgotten their card.
If a reserved toy is not there
If the pick list marked a toy Not found, or it has not come back from the last borrower, the line says so. Offer the member another copy or a similar toy, and lend that instead. Coordinators can move or cancel the rest of a reservation from Loans > Reservations: see Manage a reservation.
If nobody comes
You do not need to do anything. Two hours after the session ends, Gizzago releases any reservation that was not collected, puts the toys back on offer and sends the member a kind "Still want these? Rebook" email. See "Still coming?" and "Rebook" emails.
