Count later and the Floor queue
Keep the queue moving: take a toy back now and count its 48 marble-run pieces later.
Who can do this: desk volunteers, coordinators and admins, on any enrolled desk at the site.
Steps: return it to the Floor queue
- Scan the returned toy. The return card opens.
- Open Where does it go? and choose Count later.
- Press All there, return it.
What you'll see
"Returned · in the Floor queue". The loan is closed, so the member is not chased, but the toy cannot be lent until someone counts it.
Steps: count it from the Floor queue
- In the drawer along the bottom of the desk, open Floor queue. The tab shows how many toys are waiting, for example "Floor queue (1)".
- Find the toy and press Count now.
- Check the pieces as you would at a return, then press All there, back on the shelf (or record what is missing).
What you'll see
The toy leaves the queue and goes back on the shelf. When the queue is empty it says "Nothing waiting to be counted". Any missing piece is recorded against the member who borrowed it, exactly as at a return.
Good to know
- Any desk at the site can clear the queue, so a floor volunteer with a second tablet can count while the desk keeps lending.
- Before you cash up, the Cash-up stage lists anything still in the Floor queue as a loose end. You can finish the session with toys still in the queue; they wait for next time.
