Home page sections

Build your home page from ready-made sections, in the order you want, with your own words.

Who can do this: admins only.

Your home page is a stack of sections. Every kind of section is already in the list: you switch on the ones you want, move them into order, and open any of them to change its words.

Steps

Switch sections on, off and into order

  1. Choose Settings in the sidebar, then Public site.
  2. Find Home page sections. They are listed in the order they appear.
  3. Use the switch on a row to show or hide that section.
  4. Use the up and down arrows on a row to move it.

The preview on the right changes straight away.

Change a section's words

  1. Click the section's name, for example Welcome.
  2. Change the words. An empty box uses the standard words, which are shown in the box until you type.
  3. Set the section's options. For example:
    • Welcome: the Welcome style (Shapes, Photo or Plain), the Headline, A line about you, the Main button and an optional Second button, each with its Words and where it Goes to (a page such as /catalogue or /join, or a full link).
    • Featured: under Which to show, The most borrowed or Ones I pick, and How many. To pick, type a name under Find one to add.
    • How it works: a Title and A sentence or two for each of the three steps.
    • Numbers: tick the Numbers to show, such as loans this year or member families.
    • What people say: press Add a quote, then fill in What they said and Who said it. Ask before using a name.
    • Highlights: press Add a card (up to three), with a Small label such as a price, a Title, A sentence or two and Link words.
  4. Press Look and feel to go back to the list.
What you'll see

The preview shows your words as you type, and the status reads "Draft saved. Not live yet." Visitors see nothing until you press Publish changes.

To undo your changes to one section, open it, press Reset this section, then Reset.
